Thanks for your kind words about my book! I appreciate knowing that it is helpful to you and your students. I wish I could revise it, of course... I have so much new thinking to add to what is there, but I think that will always be true with publishing. The work changes us and our writing can't always keep up. I hope we'll meet at a conference somewhere...
TX is fine. We're already having days in the 90s here in the desert. We have 3 more weeks before we wrap up here, so I'm jealous of you being on break so soon! I'll have a few weeks before teaching a YA Lit class during Summer II, so I'm eager to have a little time for reading, revamping, and relaxing coming up. Say, will you be in Philly? I got in by the skin of my teeth, but I'll be there. :)

So far there has been no response from NCTE in any form since the postings on the website of the Washington Post. The bottom line remains:
