I think summer reading - with lots of choice - is critical to helping students develop the habit of reading. The challenge is to figure out accountability measures that don't ruin the reading for kids.
I can post some resources after the sessions. Good idea!

Becky McCraw said… - Actually, I have consider doing that. It is not really my idea. George Ella Lyon gets all the credit, but I have put my own spin on it. I believe I will write that up for RWT. Add that to my "to do" list. I have been amazed at the writing I have gotten from the 4th and 5th graders. They are such writers! I am so excited about the NDW!
