Getting Excited about the Conference!

I leave El Paso Thursday morning and should get into San Antonio around midday. I'm excited to be staying with my colleague and friend Tim Shea and to have an engagement with another good friend later that afternoon.

All well and good as semester ends this week. I was with NCTE in DC to lobby my senators for a comprehensive literacy bill as well as a House Resolution for a National Day of Writing. It was fun to network with other likeminded folk and to be part of policy making for the future of literacy in America.
