Hi, Felisa! Carina Fay arrived three weeks early on Oct. 12, weighing 6 lbs. 5 oz. It was quite an adventure - 12 hours of labor followed by an emergency C-section because her heart rate was dropping. She was born completely healthy and she has since gained a lot of weight (she LOVES to eat). She is an absolute joy - more than we could have ever imagined. I'll try to attach a photo to this message - let me know if that works. How are you? This is crunch time for NCTE/CEL, so you must be super busy. I really hate to miss the conference this year, especially with it so close in Philly. If I were attending, I would be sure to wear Yankees gear every day:) Hope all is well with you!

Hey, Felisa! I am never on this Ning so I'm not sure if I ever responded to you! I am expecting a little girl on Oct. 31. It's rapidly approaching & I'm getting excited. How are you? I'm sure you're busy planning Philadelphia - bummed I'm going to miss it!
Hope all is well.

We are currently running a nationwide contest, challenging kids to make fun and memorable flashcards by pairing sentences and images to a common test word. There will be a small cash prize and iTunes giveaways. Due date is May 22.
