Share 'NCTE colleague needs help in battling DIBELS and Response to Intervention in a middle school'

I recently received an email asking if we knew of successful strategies used by other progressive middle level educators in helping administrators understand problems with DIBELS, AIMSweb, Response to Intervention and Curriculum Based Measures. Can anyone recommend research or other resources that we can share with this member? Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
