Pamela-
I met you in a workshop at NCTE a few years ago (for the all-day session), and now I have my own writing center in Cortland, NY called The Writing Studio. I came up with so many of the initial plans during your session. Check us out now at www.thewritingstudio.ning.com

I love the idea of meeting writing center directors online. I am the WC director for our school of 2,000. I have students that wander in and out all day for various services. I also have remediated students that are stuggling with English. We have also launched dual credit classes this year, and so now I am working at the college level.

hi pamela...i'm new to the secondary writing center process, but am eager to learn. i decided over the summer to start on at my school, but it can only be held after the school day ends. we don't have the funds or staff to keep it going during the day. do you have any advice for how to publicize it or get students to stay?
