Submissions appear twice

Some of the submissions to my gallery appear twice in the gallery's splash page. Is there any way to edit that page? If I click to view all submissions, the item is only there once, but even on refresh, the splash page shows it twice. How can we edit the opening page? Or can someone fix the glitch?
