Blogging Teachers

Do you have a blog where you write about the teaching of reading or writing in your classroom? It would be great to find some time to chat about blogging, and how it's made our teaching more responsive, at the conference.

My blog is a new project that connects with Ned Vizzini's short memoirs Teen Angst?, because Vizzini published his work at 15 and gave the advice that young writers should find their niche in the blogging world. I moved from Georgia to New York a few years ago, and therefore my blog is called Grits Gone North. I'm attempting to find my niche as well. www.gritsgonenorth.blogspot.com

Greetings Friends,

This is such a cool group and I just simply stumbled upon it. I'm so grateful it's here. I've just started blogging about my 30 years of teaching. It's called Teacher Food and it's at www.mikerushteacher.blogspot.com

I don't have time now, it's a little past my bedtime, but I want to get to all your blogs.

What a joy to be in community.

Hi everyone, I'm new at this but will be blogging about teaching writing in an isolated Alaskan village. I want my students to blog, so I had better blog, too.

Hello everyone! My blog is "In My Classroom: The Forest and the Trees" and includes lots of classroom stories, some links, and my ongoing adventures with two sons, 10 and 4. Plus lots of pictures of flowers. http://emilykissner.blogspot.com/

To all you teacher-bloggers out there: Start looking through your personal and professional blogs to find your FAVORITE blog post. Then re-post it as your submission to the National Gallery of Writing.

It's a quick and easy way to help reach the goal of 100,000+ submissions by the National Day of Writing (October 20, 2009)!

I have been blogging about my teaching experiences, especially with using new technologies, for the past two years at My Continuing Education.

What a great way to connect with other teachers who share ideas online!

I'm both an English teacher and children's author, so I wear two hats as a blogger as well. My blog features book reviews, author interviews, and reflections on writing and teaching.

Hi everybody,

I'm new to this web site. I've noticed that quite a few people leave personal messages to others. Is that what this web site is about or should it rather focus on pertinent pedagogic and theoretical issues related to English teaching/learning?

I started a blog not too long ago to share thoughts and lesson ideas. I'm still trying to figure out what the heck I'm doing! Please come take a look and let me know what you think.

I blog professionally at http://www.dcamd.com anything that deals with my teaching of American Literature, AP Lang & Comp, Freshman Comp (Eng 101/102), and technology and how it influences that pedagogy.

I just looked at your page and I do like the printables. They may help with some of my ESL students. Have a happy Thanksgiving.

As a side note: When I was an undergraduate at Maryville College in TN, I wrote a short story about the functions of the parts of speech in my English Grammar class. Since I was also taking creative writing, I was allowed to do this. I am using it...
